Privacy Policy and Terms of Service for WRK

Thank you for using WRK ("the App"). This document explains how your data is handled and the terms that apply when using the App.

Privacy Policy

1. Data Storage

Local Data (Default). By default, the data you create in the App remains stored on your device. We do not have access to this local data.

Study Group Features. If you choose to create or join a Study Group, certain information is transmitted to and stored in our cloud database (Supabase) in order to enable shared accountability features. This may include:

• Your chosen display name
• Your group membership
• Your daily commitment values
• Logs of your study sessions (duration and timestamp)
• Group interactions such as nudges
• An anonymous device-generated identifier

All data transmitted to our servers is encrypted in transit using industry-standard HTTPS encryption.

2. No Personal Identity Collection

WRK does not require email registration and does not collect your real name, email address, phone number, or location. Users within groups are identified only by a randomly generated anonymous identifier stored on their device.

3. Group Visibility

If you join a Study Group, your display name, commitment updates, session activity (such as duration and session titles), and group interactions may be visible to other members of that specific group.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

Group-related data is stored to keep activity synchronized between members. If you leave a Study Group, your membership record and associated activity within that group are deleted from our database. If a group is deleted, all related group data is removed.

We do not guarantee permanent storage of group history.

5. No Ads or Trackers

The App does not include advertisements or third-party tracking frameworks.

Terms of Service

1. Your Content and Conduct

You retain ownership of the content you create. When participating in Study Groups, you agree to:

• Use respectful and appropriate display names
• Use respectful and appropriate session titles
• Avoid harassment or abusive behavior within group features

We reserve the right to restrict access to online group features if these standards are violated.

2. Data Backup

Local Data: You are responsible for backing up data stored on your device.

Cloud Data: While we strive to keep group features reliable, we do not guarantee uninterrupted service or permanent retention of group activity data.

3. Disclaimer of Warranty

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

4. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall the developer be liable for damages (including data loss) arising from the use of or inability to use the App.

5. Changes to These Terms

We may update this document from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
